In celebration of Credit Union Youth Month, art students from local elementary schools helped decorate teller cash envelopes that will be distributed at MMCCU in Marshfield starting Friday, May 6.

Students from Grant Elementary, Spencer Elementary, Auburndale Elementary, Immanuel Lutheran Schools, Trinity Lutheran School, and St John the Baptist Primary School participated. Each of these schools will receive a custom art kit donated by MMCCU in partnership with Marshfield Book & Stationery.

“Our goal with this initiative was to help encourage financial discussions between parents and kids,” said Stephanie Rasmussen, HR Specialist and Accountant at MMCCU. “We also wanted to help support arts in the classroom, so this seemed like a fun way to do it!”

Thank you for your support, Marshfield Book & Stationery!

During CU Youth Month, MMCCU supplied art classes with blank teller envelopes. The students decorated these envelopes and also filled out a worksheet fitting this year’s theme of “Save Small, Dream Big.”

“We have some really creative local kids! They illustrated what they are saving for and decorated the teller cash envelopes with colorful drawings. I’m excited to hand these out to members,” said Rasmussen. “We also have a new Kids Rewards Club youth savings account, so we look forward to continuing financial education for local youth.”

Throughout the month, MMCCU will also be sharing some of the youth drawings on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/MarshfieldMedicalCenterCreditUnion.
