MMCCU Helps Bring Little Free Pantry to Marshfield
Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) is proud to support a growing community initiative to help local families in need: Little Free Pantries (LFPs)—small, self-serve cabinets stocked with non-perishable food, hygiene products, and paper goods, available 24/7. The mission is simple: “Take what you need, give what you can.”
“We wanted to assist in addressing food shortages within the community,” said David Murphy, MMCCU President. “Working families can’t always make it to the available hours at our local food banks, and sponsoring the pantries helps address that availability dilemma. These units can be accessed anonymously and provide items to help a family fuel their next meal.”
MMCCU purchased two pantry units and is partnering with Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (south of Marshfield) to build and prepare them for distribution. The first one is now available at MMCCU.
