October 10 is World Mental Health Day! In all countries, the pandemic has had a major impact on people’s mental health. Some groups, including health and other frontline workers, students, people living alone, and those with pre-existing mental health conditions, have been particularly affected. As a credit union whose membership serves the health care community, we wanted to share some information on Mental Health resources available here in Central Wisconsin.

Wood County Mental and Behavioral Health Programs
Human Services provides Mental Health Outpatient Services to individuals residing in Wood County. Services are offered at Wood County River Block Building as well as on Wednesdays at a branch office in Marshfield called the Chestnut Street Office located within the Wood County Annex & Health Center.
If you feel you need help with mental health problem contact the Outpatient Clinic receptionist to set up an appointment. In Wisconsin Rapids, call 715-421-8840. In Marshfield, call 715-384-2188.
The initial appointment will include a review of financial responsibility with a business office staff member. You will then see a Counselor or Therapist who will assess your needs and may make recommendations to one or more of the services offered.
