Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) sponsored a $1000 scholarships that was recently awarded to Tia Bunn, a nursing student through the UWEC nursing program in Marshfield.
“We are driven by a shared vision to empower students with streamlined pathways to attain vital healthcare training,” said MMCCU President David Murphy. “Recognizing the enduring demand for healthcare services and the urgent need for skilled professionals, we are steadfast in our commitment to nurturing these aspiring individuals. By extending our support to students, we are not only fostering their personal growth but also fortifying the fabric of our communities with enduring excellence in healthcare for years to come.”
MMCCU has also partnered with the UWEC Nursing Program to serve as a resource for students and their financial questions and needs.
“We want to serve as a local trusted source for students who have questions about anything finances- whether it be budgeting, student loans, car loans, opening a checking account, or anything related,” said Murphy.
Bunn has worked as a CNA in the ICU at Marshfield Medical Center and will soon be starting an internship in the NICU. She will graduate with her BSN from the UWEC Nursing Program.
“I love helping people and seeing them do a 180 in their recovery,” she said.
