MMCCU is proud to announce its sponsorship of two scholarships for the Fall 2023 semester, aimed at supporting students attending Northcentral Technical College. Valued at $1,000 each, these scholarships have been awarded to outstanding nursing students Kendra Doberstein and Valerie Vande Corput. MMCCU’s commitment to fostering educational opportunities in the healthcare field is demonstrated through these scholarships, which alleviate financial burdens and enable students to focus on their studies.
Kendra Doberstein, a continuing student in the Nursing Associate Degree Program at Northcentral Technical College, expressed her gratitude for the MMCCU Healthcare scholarship, stating, “Thanks to your support, I will be able to continue my education with less stress. I am thankful for any amount that I do not have to take out in student loans.” Kendra plans to complete her final semester at Northcentral Technical College, confident that the scholarship will facilitate her journey towards becoming a Registered Nurse.
Valerie Vande Corput, a second-semester student in the Nursing Associate Degree Program, echoed her appreciation for MMCCU’s generosity, remarking, “I cannot thank you enough for helping me make my nursing career goal possible.” Valerie intends to pursue her education at Northcentral Technical College for an additional year, ultimately earning her RN associates degree. She also has aspirations of furthering her education by attending a four-year college to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
