At MMCCU, community support is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to once again participate in United We Can 2025, an annual initiative that brings local businesses and organizations together to fight hunger in our community.

This year, our sculpture is a lighthouse with the theme: “Here’s to another 60 years of lighting the way for our members” in celebration of our 60th anniversary in October!

“We are very proud of the fact we used predominately everything on the Wishlist and no filler or ‘junk’ food,” said Tiffany Schara.

United We Can challenges participants to build creative sculptures using non-perishable food items, all of which are donated to local food pantries. This event is a fun and meaningful way to engage with the community while making a direct impact on those in need.

Making a Difference in 2024

Last year, United We Can saw incredible support, with 10 businesses contributing a total of 3,464 non-perishable food items. These donations benefited local organizations such as:

  • Soup or Socks Food Pantry
  • Saint Vincent de Paul Food Pantry
  • Marshfield Area United Way NOW Program

This year’s United We Can event introduces exciting new elements, including:

  • New Award Categories – Participants can compete in fresh divisions such as Most Used Items from the Wish List and the 500+ Items Fan Favorite.
  • United We Can Community Challenge – Businesses can now challenge each other in friendly competition to see who can collect the most items, build the most-liked sculpture, or make the biggest impact.
  • Expanded Donation Reach – In addition to food pantries, donations will now also support Little Free Pantries, extending help to even more people in need.

Voting Opens: March 19 at Noon

Voting Closes: March 24 at Noon

For MMCCU, United We Can is about more than just creativity—it’s about making a difference. By participating, we’re helping to combat food insecurity and bring our community together for a shared purpose. We encourage other local businesses and individuals to join us in making United We Can 2025 the biggest and most impactful event yet!
