During the holiday season, MMCCU hosted a “memory tree” in their lobby. Credit Union members and members of the public were encouraged to bring in an ornament that reminds them of someone they have lost. For every person that brought in an ornament, MMCCU donated $5 to a fund used to purchase food for Soup or Socks. SOS is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing food and/or clothing at no charge to those in need in the greater Marshfield area.
“The last two years have been especially challenging for people, so we thought this would be a nice way to remember loved ones that are no longer with us,” said Carol Rae Kulibert, MMCCU Operations Manager.
Last week, Kulibert presented a check for $100 to Soup or Socks Executive Director Cheryl Lewis-Hartl. Thanks to everyone who brought in an ornament!
