Scholarship Awarded by the Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation
Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) is proud to announce that its President, David Murphy, has been chosen as the esteemed recipient of the 2023 Pat Wesenberg DE Scholarship by the Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation. This prestigious scholarship is awarded to individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to the credit union movement and a commitment to furthering their knowledge through the Development Education (DE) program.
The Pat Wesenberg DE Scholarship, named in honor of Pat Wesenberg, a passionate advocate for the DE program, recognizes outstanding leaders within the credit union industry who exemplify the principles of education, cooperation, and community involvement. This scholarship serves as a tribute to Pat’s unwavering support for the DE program, as well as her commitment to fostering the growth of credit unions and their leaders.
Upon receiving the scholarship, David Murphy expressed his gratitude, stating, “It’s an honor to remember Pat in this fashion, who was a big supporter of the DE program. In fact, Pat personally asked me to attend earlier in my career, but due to schedule conflicts, I wasn’t able to take her up on her request. In October, I’ll be joining the long list of wonderful DEs who have gone through the program before. Thank you to The Wisconsin Credit Union League for making this a reality.”
