MMCCU raised $643 through its Root Beer Float Fundraiser held on Wednesday, August 27 at the Four Seasons Cafeteria in Marshfield Clinic. Proceeds will directly benefit children receiving care at Marshfield Children’s Hospital through Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals.
Attendees enjoyed root beer floats served by MMCCU Business Development Specialist Tiffany Schara and CMN’s Mason Dowling, who welcomed community members, staff, and families to take part in the cause.
“We are so grateful for everyone who came out to support the fundraiser,” said Schara. “It’s amazing to see our community come together to help local kids and families- and how something so simple as a root beer float can inspire so many smiles!”
In addition to the funds raised, leftover ice cream and root beer were donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities in Marshfield, extending the event’s impact beyond the fundraiser itself.
MMCCU expressed gratitude to Hub City Ice Cream and Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling out of Wausau for generously providing the root beer and ice cream.
The event reflects MMCCU’s ongoing commitment to supporting local healthcare workers, families, and children. Membership at MMCCU is open to anyone who receives a paycheck from a healthcare facility, aligning with its mission of service within the community.
