This festive season, we teamed up with Marshfield Area United Way in an effort to make a meaningful impact on the lives of local families in need! Local food pantries are in high-demand, so we wanted to take a proactive approach to support families in need during these challenging times.
MMCCU purchased and staff helped pack 75 Christmas meals, carefully curated to bring joy and warmth to those facing financial hardships this holiday season. Each family receiving a Christmas box will find a complete festive meal, including a ham or turkey, potatoes, gravy, green beans, pie, and all the trimmings to create a delicious Christmas feast.
David Murphy, President of MMCCU, highlighted the credit union’s dedication to community and the principles that guide credit unions. “At the heart of credit unions is a commitment to community, and we strive to support those in need. This holiday season, our focus is on making a meaningful impact for families facing hardships. We aim to bring joy and demonstrate our support for the communities we serve.”
Local food pantries, which play a vital role in supporting families during the holiday season, are experiencing a surge in demand. Acknowledging this urgent need, MMCCU focused efforts on providing assistance to families participating in the Nutrition on Weekends program.
