This festive season, we once again teamed up with Marshfield Area United Way in an effort to make a meaningful impact on the lives of local families in need. Local food pantries are in high demand, so we wanted to take a proactive approach to support families during these challenging times.
MMCCU purchased and staff helped pack 85 Christmas meals, carefully curated to bring joy and warmth to those facing financial hardships this holiday season. Each family receiving a Christmas box will find a complete festive meal, including a ham or turkey, potatoes, gravy, green beans, pie, fresh produce, and all the trimmings to create a delicious Christmas feast.
Tiffany Schara, Business Development Specialist, shared her perspective on the project. “This season reminds us how important it is to care for one another. Being able to help provide holiday meals is something our team values deeply. We want families to feel supported and to know their community is standing with them.”
Local food pantries, which play a vital role in supporting families during the holiday season, are experiencing a surge in demand. Acknowledging this need, MMCCU focused efforts on providing assistance to families participating in the Nutrition on Weekends program.
