MMCCU is sponsoring scholarships for students pursuing health care careers and attending either MidState Technical College and North Central Technical College in Wisconsin. There are (4) scholarships available at each location – 2 each to both new and continuing students, each totalling $500.
Students studying the following areas at MSTC are qualified to apply:
- Advanced Emergency Medical Technician
- Emergency Medical Technician
- EMT-Paramedic, Health & Wellness Promotion
- Health Information Management
- Medical Assistant, Medical Code
- Medical Office Specialist
- Nursing
- Nursing Assistant
- Paramedic Technician
- Pharmacy Services Management
- Pharmacy Technician
- Phlebotomy Technician
- Respiratory Therapists
- Surgical Technologists
Students studying the following areas at NTC are qualified to apply:
- Health Care Business Services
- Health Related Programs (any/all)
- EMT
- EMT-Advanced
- Paramedic Technician
- Substance Abuse Counselor
“We want to help make it easier for students to get the training they need to serve in our healthcare facilities,” said MMCCU President David Murphy. “The need for healthcare is not going away and there is a bigger need than ever of getting people educated to fill these positions. The commitment to help these students will help our communities maintain quality healthcare for decades to come.”
